About ATHP Addiction Training Program

The Addiction Training for Health Professionals is a program at the Frank Foundation whose primary aim is to train physicians and other health professionals in addiction-related education, research, policy, and public health.

The Addiction Training for Health Professionals program aims to maximize the number of physicians and health professionals receiving training and to improve health systems through education. By strengthening professional knowledge and practice, the program supports healthcare systems that are better prepared to respond to addiction-related needs in communities.

The program has three main initiatives designed to Equip, Create, and Inspire.

The Equip initiative supports physicians and health professionals by providing training opportunities that strengthen their knowledge and skills in addiction-related care and public health.

The Create initiative focuses on developing educational resources, systems, and opportunities that help expand access to addiction training for healthcare professionals.

The Inspire initiative encourages physicians and health professionals to apply their learning, support others, and contribute to improved health systems through leadership, advocacy, research, and compassionate care.
